Lovely calm atmosphere. Dog friendly, air conditioned and nice staff. We tried the paninis and they were delicious as were the cakes.

My New Favourite Coffee Spot in Derby – Nixon Coffee I don’t say this lightly, but the coffee at Nixon is the best I’ve had in a long time – and definitely the best in Derby. From the very first sip, it was clear how much care had gone into it: perfect microfoam, spot-on temperature, and beans that delivered a deep, rich flavour without any bitterness. Mitchell (who served me) was incredibly authentic and welcoming, which added to the whole experience. The environment inside Nixon is equally impressive – stylish, relaxed, and a genuinely great place to spend time. Whether you’re popping in for a quick cup or planning to stay a while, it just works. All in all, an excellent experience from start to finish. I’ll definitely be back – this is now my go-to coffee place.

Not much to add, lovely atmosphere, it's even licenced so you can have a beer here. Friendly staff and a good range of cakes. Enjoy. M

I've come here numerous times..friendly service and tasty cakes, moist and delicious. They have a little library in there with variety of books and games too if you fancy having a games evening with your friends. Overall it's a lovely relaxed place. No complaints although the prices are mad 4 pound for 1 fruit cup but overall good

Visiting here today for the first time, and being welcomed so kindly and sincerely, left a warm glow inside me. The decor is mainly wooden warmness: the chunky tables, attractively grained floors, and quirky ornament-adorned shelves all cohere to produce a lovely, natural-feeling environment, while the supremely comfortable armchairs and settees provide a great base to sit and enjoy Nixon Coffee's wares. They have a wide range of teas, an extensive coffee menu, and tempting alcohol and cocktail choices to provide something for everyone. I didn't eat during this visit but: THE CAKES!!!! I like big cakes and I cannot lie and, had I been in the market for a slice of sweet, spongy goodness, I'd have been spoiled for choice as the array of different cakes was vast and mouthwatering. This truly is a wonderful place to visit, whether alone, with friends, with your laptop, your Ideas Book or Journal, or just a good reading book. You can relax and just 'be'.

Very delicious food, drinks and snacks. Amazing service and friendly staff. Very comfortable seating available. Always have a laugh with staff and great conversations. Warm and nice environment to hang out or study.

A 5-star local coffee shop, for sure. Great coffee, a cozy atmosphere, fresh donuts, and a surprisingly extensive selection of teas. This independent coffee shop is exactly what I was missing personally in Derby. P.S. Sandwiches fresh and tasty, too. Staff is customer service oriented.

One of the cosiest coffee shops in town. The vibe is amazing and perfect place to chill out. The staff is very friendly with warm smiles. A good selection of cakes, coffee and savouries. The chocolate and lemon cakes were wonderful. They also serve wine and a few types of bottled/canned beer which is great. Definitely going to be one of the regular places to visit.
